Sync a credit note to Xero
Sync an existing Dashify credit note to the connected Xero organisation. You need the appropriate account and sync permissions. The credit-note customer and any target invoices must already be synced to the same Xero integration.
Open Credit Notes or the company’s credit-note section and select the relevant record.
Check the company, currency, credit amount, available balance and invoice allocations. Resolve an incorrect local record before syncing.
Open the available actions and select Sync to Xero. Review the confirmation identifying the credit note and its allocations.
Confirm Sync to Xero and wait for the result. Do not create a second local credit note merely because a sync request is still running.
Review the record’s Xero sync section and check the result in the connected Xero organisation using the available reference or link.
If the sync reports an error, check the customer and invoice links, integration and returned error before retrying. Re-sync after authorised allocation changes where required.
What syncing does not do
Syncing does not issue the local credit again and does not process a cash refund. Available credit and an allocation against an outstanding invoice are different states. If you reverse an allocation in Dashify, review the sync status and re-sync as required to keep the two systems consistent.
