Create and organise a project
Use a project to group related work, people and tasks. You need project-creation access in the correct workspace. Optional cost and revenue planning should be enabled only where your team uses them.
Open Projects and choose Create project.
Enter a clear project name and the available description, dates and other required details. Use a name that will still be recognisable in a task list.
Review the available people, assignment and access options. Check who should be able to see and work on the project.
If suitable templates are available, review them before loading tasks. Only enable Track costs for this project or Track revenue for this project when needed.
Review the form and select Create project. Open the saved project to confirm the information and any generated tasks.
Add or update tasks as the work progresses. Review the project as a whole rather than assuming one completed task means the entire project is finished.
Before using a template
Check the generated task names, dates and assignments; templates are a starting point, not confirmation that the work has been done. Planned costs and revenue are separate from actual completion and should be checked against your team’s reporting process.
