Maintain menu descriptions and recipes
Keep customer-facing descriptions and internal preparation instructions clear and up to date. You need permission to edit the relevant menu or inventory item.
Open the menu or inventory list, search for the product and open the correct item. Confirm you are in the right workspace.
Use the available edit controls to update the Description and Recipe fields where provided.
Use the editor’s headings, lists and paragraphs for structure. Avoid pasting text with unnecessary styling; check links and images after inserting them.
Save the changes and wait for confirmation. Reopen the saved item to confirm the text has persisted.
View the item in the employee mobile or kiosk menu where available. Check that the description and recipe are readable, including images and lists.
If the content is not visible, check product availability and permissions before creating a duplicate item.
Keep instructions safe and useful
Use approved preparation instructions and keep quantities and units explicit. Access to a product on one device does not automatically mean it is available to every user or booking workflow. Review the actual view used by your team after a significant content change.
