Count Cash Up and review the Cash Drop

Cash Up separates money staying in the till from money being removed as the cash drop. Start only after checking the workspace and date. A Cash In must be available for the day before the app allows a Cash Up.

1)

Open Cash Management, select the correct day and choose Add Cash Up. Check whether a record already exists.

2)

In the Float step, count the money you will leave in the till. Enter note and loose-coin counts, using the separate R input for coin rolls.

3)

Review the float target and counted amount, then continue to Cash Drop. Count the money being removed separately; do not count the retained float again.

4)

Continue to Review. Check the dedicated Cash Drop amount, the retained float and the comparison with the system figures. Follow your workplace’s cash-handling procedure for the money placed in the safe.

5)

Complete any required attachments and notes, then save and review the final confirmation. Wait for success and open the saved record to check the breakdown.

Investigate differences before confirming

A variance records a difference; it does not explain its cause. Recheck denominations, rolls, the selected day and whether float and cash-drop values were entered in the correct steps. Saving a Cash Up does not itself bank the cash or process a refund.
