Set up and manage recurring operational logs

Use a scheduled log for work that repeats rather than recreating the same one-off issue. Creating and managing schedules requires Operations management access.

1)

Open Operations, choose the add action and select Scheduled log.

2)

Enter the job details, priority, assignment and any completion-approval requirements. Write instructions that will make sense for each future occurrence.

3)

Choose the available recurrence settings, such as weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly, and check the schedule dates. The workspace timezone is used for scheduling.

4)

Review the schedule and save it. Open the Recurring view in Operations to confirm the schedule and its next occurrence details.

5)

Open a generated log to progress that individual job. Use the recurring schedule’s edit controls when you intend to change future occurrences rather than just one job.

6)

If the work should stop recurring, use the schedule’s pause or disable action and review its confirmation. Keep existing occurrence history for reference.

Schedule versus occurrence

Editing a generated log is not the same as editing its recurring schedule. Pausing a schedule prevents future scheduled work but does not erase historical jobs. If an expected occurrence is missing, check the schedule’s active state, frequency, start date and workspace timezone.
