Create a supplier purchase order

Use a supplier purchase order to record goods you are buying. You need purchase-order write access and a supplier company record. Check the current workspace before starting.

1)

Open the supplier Orders list and start a new order. Select the supplier and the delivery date.

2)

Add the required products. Check the unit, quantity, price and tax for each line. If an item is unavailable, review its active status and supplier link in Inventory.

3)

Use Next to review the delivery address, notes and payment method sections available on the order.

4)

Review the Order Confirmation carefully, including totals, delivery information and whether this is a draft or an order to be submitted.

5)

Submit using the final order action shown, then wait for the saved order or success message. Do not resubmit while a request is still processing.

6)

When the delivery arrives, follow your workspace’s receiving process. If a receiving job is created, check the goods and have accepted quantities posted through the separate stock-sync action.

Before sending to a supplier

A draft is not the same as a confirmed order. Check its saved status and any email or marketplace confirmation options instead of assuming the supplier has received it. Creating an order is not a payment and does not mean the delivery has been checked.
