Review inventory stock and batches
Use stock control and batches to understand what is on hand and where it is held. Your workspace must have Inventory enabled, and stock-changing actions require the appropriate permissions.
Open Inventory, find the item and open its Stock Control section. Check the unit used for the quantity.
Review stock on hand alongside pending incoming and outgoing quantities. Available stock can differ from stock on hand because pending sales reserve quantities.
Open Inventory > Batches to find individual batches. Use the available search, status, location and low-stock filters to narrow the list.
Open a batch and review its quantity, location and other recorded details before taking an action.
If you are authorised to correct stock, use the appropriate adjustment or batch action and review its confirmation. Reopen the item or batch to verify the resulting quantity and history.
Avoid duplicate stock changes
A physical count, a delivery check and a posted stock movement are different events. Check order and stock history before making an adjustment. If the quantity is unexpected, investigate pending orders and previous movements rather than repeatedly adding or subtracting stock.
